The Grisons SP Unanimously Nominated Jon Pult as a Federal Council Candidate

Jon Pult was unanimously nominated as a candidate for the Swiss Federal Council on Saturday at an extraordinary party conference of the SP Graubünden in Chur. At 39 years old, Pult is by far the youngest candidate in the race to succeed the outgoing Federal Councilor Alain Berset. The hall at the Churer Waldhaus was "packed" according to Joshua Verhoeven, party secretary of the SP Graubünden. Around 70 members of the SP showed up to show their full support for Pult. When Pult announced his intention to run for the Federal Council on October 2nd, he emphasized his desire to strengthen the unity of the country. He believes that for the country to function in its diversity, unity is necessary.
