Jan Böhmermann and the Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld are leaving the TV studio of the late-night show "ZDF Magazin Royale" and going on tour. On January 21, they will be guests at The Hall in Zurich.

"Eisern Ehrenfeld" is the motto under which German satirist Jan Böhmermann and the radio dance orchestra Ehrenfeld will be touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland from January 13 to February 1.

The organizer promises the audience of the 15 concerts a "satirical-political revue" as well as a subversive show, music and pointed poetry, according to a statement from the Gadget abc Entertainment Group on Monday.

Iron is an excellent conductor of heat, Böhmermann is quoted as saying about the title of the show. When iron comes into contact with fresh air, "wondrous things" happen. "'Eisern Ehrenfeld' is our battle cry," says the satirist. From goosebumps to chills, anything is possible. He wants to "experiment live on stage with irony, inauthenticity and real feelings", he announces.

Last March, Böhmermann and his team were awarded the Grimme Prize for their ZDF program "ZDF Magazin Royale". The late-night show combines satire and comedy with investigative research. The 2023 prize is already the sixth Grimme Award in the presenter's career.
