Raiffeisen rating of “AA-” confirmed by Standard&Poor’s

Standard&Poor's (S&P) has confirmed Raiffeisen's long-term rating of "AA-" with a stable outlook. The rating agency also affirmed the short-term rating for the Swiss financial institution at "A-1+", as Raiffeisen announced on Friday.
According to the press release, this rating puts Raiffeisen among the best-rated banks in the world. S&P had only raised its rating from "A+/A-1" in April of this year.
In its report, the rating agency praised Raiffeisen's excellent capitalization, stable earnings and the robust quality of its loans. S&P also emphasized the Group's strong position in the Swiss retail banking market and especially in the mortgage business. S&P expects Raiffeisen to be able to maintain its market position in the future.
