Base jumper falls to his death in the Bernese Oberland

A 37-year-old base jumper died on Wednesday afternoon in the Bernese Oberland. He fell to his death in Mürren (municipality of Lauterbrunnen), as reported by the Bern cantonal police on Friday.
He and two colleagues had gone to the "High Ultimate" jump on the Mürrenfluh. He was the first to jump and had an accident for unknown reasons. The German citizen, who lived in Switzerland, could only be rescued dead.
