Mudslide hits residential building in Bonaduz GR

On Wednesday evening, a mudslide fell on a house in Bonaduz GR. The fire department rescued a man trapped in the property. He and his wife had to be taken to hospital.
The man reported the mudslide in the hamlet of Scombras at 5 p.m., as reported by the Graubünden cantonal police on Thursday. The Bonaduz Rhäzüns fire department, the Chur rescue service and the Graubünden cantonal police were deployed.
The road to Scombras is currently closed, explained Marc Iten, officer of the Bonaduz Rhäzuns fire department, when asked by the Keystone-SDA news agency. The hamlet has been evacuated and cut off from the outside world. Geologists are currently assessing the situation.
Further clarifications are currently being made by the security forces. They promised additional information in the course of the day.
