Marijuana discovered via courier deliveries at EuroAirport Basel

Customs officials at EuroAirport Basel have recently repeatedly seized marijuana sent by courier from the USA. Since October, several dozen kilograms have been seized, as reported by the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security on Friday.
On 7 December, two consignments weighing a total of 11.5 kilograms were discovered within a few minutes of each other. According to the Federal Office, the parcels posted in the USA were addressed to a recipient from the canton of Zurich.
The number of marijuana seizures in courier traffic at EuroAirport has increased in recent months, the report continued. The parcels originated from the USA and were destined for recipients in various Swiss cantons.
