The fourth peace formula meeting on Ukraine will take place in Davos on Sunday before the start of the WEF. The results presented by working groups that discussed the ten principles of the peace formula launched by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi will be discussed. The further course of action will also be discussed.

The aim is to conclude talks on principles for a lasting and just peace in Ukraine at the level of the National Security Advisors, as the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) announced on Thursday.

Results of working groups

The meeting will be chaired by Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis and the Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak. Over 80 delegations are taking part. However, these are not actual peace talks. Russia is not present.

The meeting focused on the ten principles of the peace formula launched by Selensky. These were discussed at the level of the National Security Advisors in separate working groups.

In particular, Switzerland is participating in the working groups on "Nuclear Safety", "Food Security" and "Confirmation of the End of War". The groups will present their results in Davos and further steps will be discussed.

By hosting the 4th National Security Advisors' Meeting, Switzerland is emphasizing the importance of dialogue in the search for a lasting and just peace in Ukraine, the FDFA wrote. The three previous meetings took place in 2023 in Copenhagen, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Malta.

The meeting will include panel discussions on food security and humanitarian aspects. Switzerland is involved in Ukraine with humanitarian aid, humanitarian demining and reconstruction aid. The process for reconstruction in Ukraine was launched in July 2022 at a conference in Lugano TI.
