Fribourg State Councillor resumes work

Fribourg State Councillor Sylvie Bonvin-Sansonnens (Greens) will return to work in mid-January. The Director of Education has been absent since the end of October for health reasons.
The magistrate suffered from a cancerous tumor in her back, which has now been neutralized, as the Fribourg State Chancellery announced on Friday.
During Bonvin-Sansonnen's two-and-a-half-month absence, fellow State Councillor Didier Castella took over as her deputy. Castella was also President of the Council of State.
