Walter Scherz Moves from Datwyler to Franke as New CFO
One week after the announcement of the departure of Datwyler CFO Walter Scherz, it has become clear what the manager’s professional future will look like. The 46-year-old Swiss national will take over as CFO of kitchen and coffee machine manufacturer Franke on September 1.
At the company owned by Aargau industrialist Michael Pieper, Scherz succeeds Jürg Fischer, who is retiring at the end of August after 19 years, as Franke announced in a press release on Tuesday. For its part, the Datwyler Group announced a week ago that Judith van Walsum would become the new Chief Financial Officer on June 1, succeeding Scherz.
Scherz took over as Datwyler’s Chief Financial Officer in 2020. Prior to that, he spent seven years at Datwyler in various management roles.
