Construction worker killed in an accident during excavation work in Solothurn

A man died in a work accident in the western part of Solothurn on Thursday morning. Despite resuscitation measures, the 49-year-old construction worker died at the scene of the accident, according to the Solothurn cantonal police.
Shortly after 10.00 a.m., the alarm center received a report of a work accident on Wildbachstrasse, where excavation work was underway. The police and public prosecutor's office have launched an investigation to clarify how the accident occurred. The scene of the accident was cordoned off and traffic was diverted.
