In recent days, unknown persons have sprayed Nazi symbols on cars and other objects near Noiraigue railroad station in the canton of Neuchâtel. An affected organization wants to press charges.
Cars in a garage, wagons, a newspaper box and several signs were smeared with swastikas, SS symbols, the words Hitler or the number 88 for the Hitler salute, as the Neuchâtel online portal arcinfo.ch reported on Friday. The Neuchâtel cantonal police have not yet received any reports, but a patrol went to the scene, spokesman Georges-André Lozouet told the Keystone-SDA news agency.
The local tourism operator Goût et Région is the owner of the wagons, at least two of which were sprayed with several tags. The company will press charges for insurance reasons, said management member Laure von Wyss on request.
