But no expulsion for Biel lay preacher Abu Ramadan

The former lay preacher Abu Ramadan from Biel does not have to leave Switzerland after all. This was decided by the Bernese High Court at second instance on Friday.
The court found the 70-year-old Libyan guilty of multiple counts of fraud and racial discrimination and sentenced him to a fine. However, an expulsion from the country, as the lower court had pronounced, was not possible, said the court president at the sentencing.
