The search operation for three missing persons following storms in the southern Graubünden valley of Misox resumed on Sunday morning. According to the cantonal police, the search is still being conducted with dogs, drones and helicopters.

The search had to be temporarily suspended during the night from Friday to Saturday, as a spokesperson for the Graubünden cantonal police told the Keystone-SDA news agency on Sunday morning. "In the meantime, the search has resumed to the same extent as the day before," the spokesperson continued.

The army is now also supporting the search operation with helicopters, as the Federal Department of Defense, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) announced on X.

On Friday evening, a landslide and heavy flooding occurred in Sorte, a district of the municipality of Lostallo GR, following persistent rainfall and heavy thunderstorms. A cone of debris destroyed three houses in Sorte and buried four people, one of whom was rescued.
