The MAZ School of Journalism in Lucerne has adapted its management structure. The institution is now headed by a four-member executive board.
The current Director Martina Fehr will become Chief Executive Officer (CEO), as announced by MAZ Lucerne on Wednesday. Beat Rüdt will become Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Deputy CEO. Barbara Lüthi will become Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Christian Flückiger Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The new management team is intended to strengthen the MAZ in the long term, as Felix E. Müller, President of the Foundation, was quoted as saying in the press release. "With this reorganization, a broad spectrum of competencies, which are necessary for further professionalization, can be bundled in the management."
Martina Fehr describes the reorganization as a "milestone", according to the press release. She is looking forward to devoting more time to strategic issues in addition to organizational development.
