Heavy smoke from fire in industrial area of Rotkreuz

A fire broke out in the industrial area of Rotkreuz on Friday evening. Heavy smoke and a distinct odor developed. The authorities called on the population to close doors and windows and turn off the ventilation.
Traffic at the site of the fire was severely affected, as the alerting organization Alertswiss reported at 10.30 pm. People were advised to stay away from the area and drive around it. Neighbors should also be alerted, Alertswiss added.
The Zug cantonal police reported on the short message service X that the emergency services were on site. Otherwise, they referred to the instructions from Alertswiss.
