A 25-year-old Afghan man has denied killing his friend before the Lucerne Criminal Court. He insisted that the traces found in the victim's apartment did not come from him.

The accused's blood was found in several places in the victim's apartment in Lucerne, a judge said at the trial on Wednesday afternoon. According to the prosecution's indictment, the accused allegedly cut his own finger with the knife during the crime.

The accused claimed that he had cut himself with a kitchen knife while cooking. This had only happened when he was back home in France.

The accused denied the question of whether the victim had made sexual advances towards him. To his knowledge, his acquaintance had had a girlfriend.

The accused, who lives in Brest, is alleged to have killed the victim in June 2022 with 25 stab wounds and nine cuts. The presumption of innocence applies.
