225 films are on the program of the Locarno Film Festival

The organizers of the Locarno Film Festival announced the programme for the 77th edition on Wednesday in Zurich in the presence of its new president Maja Hoffmann. 225 films are on the program, including 104 world premieres and five international premieres.
There will be no shortage of Swiss productions at the 77th Locarno Film Festival from August 7 to 17: 41 have been selected.
The winners of the Davide Campari Excellence Award were announced at the same time as the program announcement. This year it goes to Guillaume Canet and Mélanie Laurent from France - both actor and director and actress and director respectively.
The award ceremony will take place at the opening of the festival on August 7 in Locarno. The other award winners have already been announced in recent weeks.
