Boris Zürcher moves from Seco to ETH Zurich

Boris Zürcher, former Head of the Directorate for Labor at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco), will move to ETH Zurich in January 2025. He will support the university in establishing its future location in Baden-Württemberg.
Zürcher will be responsible for the strategic development and establishment of the Heilbronn campus, Seco announced on Friday. He will do this work in collaboration with a team in Zurich and the designated managing director of the new ETH site.
Zürcher became known to a wide audience during the numerous media conferences held in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. During this time, he made "a significant contribution to crisis management" with the involvement of a large number of stakeholders from business, the social partnership and politics, Seco wrote.
