An estimated 1000 people gathered in Zurich-Oerlikon on Saturday afternoon for the March for Life. Around 200 participants in a bicycle demonstration stood in their way several times

This year, the organizers of the March for Life had called for a rally at Oerlikon station and a march through the district under the motto "Stand up for life".

The event of the pro-life movement was accompanied by a large police contingent - as always due to feared provocations from the left.

Masked participants in a bicycle demonstration crossed the route of the parade several times and delayed the march. The police asked them to clear the way.

In the rally appeal, the organizers had written that Switzerland needed better conditions for expectant mothers and help for families in need - so that every child could live. Every day, around 30 children are "killed before birth" in Switzerland.
