The conservatives win the cantonal council elections in Schaffhausen

The conservatives are the winners of the Schaffhausen cantonal council elections: The FDP and SVP each gained one seat. The Greens lost two seats. The 60-member council will therefore have a clear conservative majority in future.
The SP also gained three seats, as the Schaffhausen state chancellery announced on Sunday. The Juso, which was previously not represented in the cantonal council, won one seat. However, because the Alternative List, which previously had four seats, has since disbanded, the left-wing camp has not been strengthened overall.
