17-year-old arrested after robbery in Lugano

The Ticino cantonal police have arrested a 17-year-old asylum seeker. The young man is suspected of assaulting a woman in the center of Lugano on Sunday and stealing her handbag and cell phone.
The 17-year-old was arrested a few hours after the reported robbery near Chiasso train station, the Ticino cantonal police announced on Monday. During the search of the Tunisian-born man, the cell phone in question was found. Further investigations are being coordinated by the Ticino juvenile prosecutor's office.
