Helvetia is realigning its sales organization and arranging the succession at the top. In this context, Simon Weiner, Head of the Central Sales Region, will take on the newly created role of Head of the Swiss Sales Network at the beginning of 2025.
The aim is to bundle the various sales channels with direct customer access in the Swiss market and ensure interaction, as the insurer announced on Tuesday.
Weiner will then take over all sales activities at the beginning of 2026 and also join the Executive Board. Ralph Jeitziner, who has been in charge of sales for almost three decades - including at Coop Life, Nationale Suisse and later Helvetia - will retire at the end of April 2026.
According to the press release, Weiner is a dual Swiss-Austrian citizen and has many years of experience in the insurance industry. He headed the Central sales region for five years, where his responsibilities included implementing the 2025 sales strategy in Switzerland's highest-revenue region. Previously, Weiner was CEO of Orion Rechtsschutz Versicherung AG and held various sales positions at Zurich Financial Services.
