Six injured in collision between bus and streetcar in Gümligen

A bus and a streetcar collided in the Bernese suburb of Gümligen on Wednesday. Six people were slightly injured.
The accident occurred shortly before 7.45 a.m. at the level crossing on Worbstrasse, as a spokeswoman for the Bern cantonal police confirmed on request in reports on the internet portals of the Bern Tamedia newspapers and "20 Minuten".
Photos on the two internet portals show a damaged Bern-Solothurn Regional Transport bus on line 44 and the streetcar on line 6. The streetcar crashed into the middle of the bus.
According to the police, two ambulances were deployed. The police could not yet say whether they took people to hospital or whether the injured were able to see a doctor on their own.
There were cancellations and delays to streetcar and bus services. Worbstrasse was also closed in both directions for several hours.
