The Fenaco cooperative is increasing wages for the coming year. However, the Syna and Unia trade unions do not think the pay rises go far enough.

Specifically, the operator of stores such as Landi, Volg and Agrola petrol stations is increasing the total wage bill by 1.2 percent in 2025. Of this, 1.0 percent is earmarked for individual wage increases and 0.2 percent for structural adjustments, as Fenaco announced on Thursday. At least two thirds of employees should benefit from a wage increase.

In view of the Swiss National Bank's inflation forecast of 0.6 percent for 2025, this wage round will lead to a significant increase in real wages, the statement continued. Over the last ten years, wages at Fenaco have risen by a total of 11.0 percent, while inflation has amounted to 6.3 percent over the same period.

However, the Unia and Syna trade unions and the Fenaco staff committee rejected the 2025 wage round following negotiations. They would have liked a larger part of the wage increase to be generalized, as Unia and Syna wrote in separate communiqués. The exclusively individual wage increase was "disappointing and insufficient".

Fenaco is an agricultural cooperative based in Bern. Its members are 145 agricultural organizations, most of which operate under the Landi brand.
