Trade union federation: “Bad news for insured persons”

The Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (SGB) saw Sunday's "yes" vote on the Efas proposal as bad news for insured persons, patients and nursing staff.
There was a threat of higher premiums and more pressure on the quality of care and staff, wrote the SGB. Proponents and the Federal Council had made promises during the referendum campaign that the Efas reform would not be able to fulfill. Because long-term care will be included in future, insured persons must be protected from an escalating additional burden due to higher premiums and out-of-pocket costs.
