Swiss watch manufacturers exported fewer watches abroad in November compared to the same month last year. This continues the trend of recent months.

Swiss watch exports fell by 3.8 percent year-on-year to 2.41 billion Swiss francs in November, the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH) announced on Thursday. From January to November, exports amounted to 23.9 billion Swiss francs. This corresponds to a decline of 2.7 percent compared to the same period last year.

As in previous months, lower exports to China had a particularly negative impact. Exports here fell by 27%. Exports to the Chinese special administrative region of Hong Kong fell by almost 19%. Things were better in the USA, where exports rose by 4.7%.
