The “Mystic” program at the 13th edition of “Rendez-vous Bundesplatz” attracted around 385,000 visitors. This year, the Federal Palace was transformed into a fairytale forest for the traditional light spectacle.
Mystic” was shown for the last time on Saturday evening. The organizers were satisfied with the audience response, as they announced on Sunday. The fact that the number of visitors this year was slightly lower than in previous years was due to a few rainy evenings and the fact that there were no screenings due to important political appointments in Bern.
“The people who saw the spectacle were very happy and I received a lot of magical feedback,” producer and organizer Brigitte Roux is quoted as saying.
The “Mystic” show, which lasted around half an hour, presented an extraordinary walk through the forest, with a message hidden behind branches and twigs. It was not only fairy-tale characters who found shelter and protection in the forest, but also countless animal and plant species.
The façade of the parliament building has served as a projection screen every fall since 2011. The event, which is free of charge for visitors, was once again made possible this year by private sponsors and a contribution from the City of Bern.
