At the end of the 48th Youth Film Festival, 21 films in five age categories were honored. They received prizes totaling 17,000 francs. An audience award was also presented in each category.

The film "Infauge" by six young people from Fribourg won in category A for productions by children and young people up to the age of 12, as announced by the Youth Film Festival on Sunday evening. "MIAU" by Lina Wegmann from Aargau won the B category for films by young people up to the age of 16.

First prize in category C for productions by young people up to the age of 19 went to Ronja Lina Riklin from Zurich with her film "the dance of becoming a woman". In category D for young adults aged between 20 and 25, the film "a single hair" by Flamur Blakaj and Minda Deol won over the jury the most.

And "Sarebbe Statu" by Ella Rocca from Lucerne won the E category for productions by young film students up to the age of 30. She will also be able to sit on the competition jury next year. The film "Klappe Auf" by Bianca Zollinger from Zurich won the pitching competition. This means she can produce the opening film for the 49th Youth Film Festival.

The Swiss Youth Film Festival claims to be the largest national film festival for up-and-coming talent. Every year, over 2000 young people are involved in the films. Around 50 of these are then shown and awarded prizes at the Youth Film Days.
