25 people evacuated due to a fire in Bellinzona

25 people were evacuated due to a fire in a residential building in Bellinzona on Thursday lunchtime. Two of them had to be taken to hospital due to mild smoke inhalation.
According to the Ticino cantonal police, the fire broke out at 12.20 p.m. on the fourth floor of a building in Bellinzona. As a precautionary measure, 25 people were evacuated from the building.
The fire departments from Bellinzona and Lugano brought the flames under control within a short time. The building affected by the fire suffered considerable material damage.
