A 34-year-old Swiss national has been found dead in his room in Jakarta. The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs is aware of the death, as reported by the Keystone-SDA news agency on Sunday.
The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) is in contact with the relatives and the local authorities. However, for reasons of data and privacy protection, no further information can be provided.
According to reports from Indonesian media, to which "20 Minuten" refers, the circumstances of the death have not yet been clarified. The landlord of the room is said to have discovered the body after becoming aware of it due to a strong odor.
The victim was reported to have blood running from his nose and mouth. No suspicious objects were found. The man's ex-wife is said to be Indonesian.
