550 calls to the hotline due to storms in the Maggia Valley

Following a storm in the upper Maggia Valley, 550 calls have been received so far on the cantonal hotline set up especially for this purpose. This was announced by the Ticino emergency services at a press conference in Locarno.
All of the callers' tips were followed up and dealt with, noted Antonio Ciocco, head of operations.
He added that excursions to the Bavona and upper Maggia valleys should be avoided at present.
