77-Year-Old from Altdorf UR Dies After Burns

On Tuesday, a 77-year-old man suffered fatal burns in Altdorf, Uri. He had gone onto the balcony of the Rosenberg nursing home to smoke a pipe when his clothing caught fire for unknown reasons. A nursing staff member noticed the accident and immediately provided medical assistance, after which the man was flown to a hospital outside the canton by the Rega. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his serious injuries the same day.nnnnnnnnnn
