80-year-old falls to his death while hiking in Glarus

An 80-year-old hiker lost his balance on a hike near Matt in Glarus Süd on Wednesday evening and fell over a rock formation. He sustained fatal injuries as a result.
The man was hiking with his 73-year-old partner, as reported by the Glarus cantonal police on Thursday. They had hiked from the Weissenberge cable car over the Bützihoren. The senior fell on a steep descent near the Bützihoren.
