80-year-old man in Valais probably killed by family member

An 80-year-old man was killed on Sunday in Sierre VS. His 77-year-old wife was seriously injured. The police arrested a 59-year-old man. This was announced by the Valais cantonal police on Monday.
The offense took place in a family environment. The victims and the alleged perpetrator are Swiss. The investigation into the exact course of events is ongoing, the press release continues. It has already been established that the murder weapon was not a firearm. The police do not wish to provide any further information until further notice.
