Activists Color the Aare River Green in Bern

Climate activists dyed the Aare river in Bern green on Saturday morning. The Cantonal Police of Bern initially reported no consequences for people or the environment. At around 8am, the police received reports from the public that the Aare was dyed green from the Monbijoubrücke area. Water samples were taken and are currently being tested. The climate activists stated that they had used Uranin, which is not harmful. The action was to draw attention to a demonstration, which was also evidenced by a banner, according to the Cantonal Police's media spokesperson.
