A 23-year-old man was stabbed to death in a brawl in the center of Annemasse F on Tuesday. Two men were arrested in Geneva on Wednesday, according to the public prosecutor's office. One of them was the alleged attacker.

The victim was wounded in the neck by a person with a stabbing weapon and then fled into a vehicle in which another person was present, said Bruno Badré, the public prosecutor of the prefecture of Haute-Savoie, when asked by the French news agency AFP. The crime took place early on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was transported to Geneva University Hospital as an emergency, where he died as a result of his injuries, according to the public prosecutor, who had opened a murder investigation.

Two arrests were quickly made in Geneva after the robbery. Shortly after 4 p.m., the alleged passenger reported to the Plainpalais police station. The suspected perpetrator was arrested by the authorities shortly afterwards.

No information about the identity of the two detainees or their relationship to the victim was released at this time.

The investigations are now being continued within the framework of judicial cooperation with Switzerland under the supervision of the Annecy public prosecutor's office.
