BFS Director: System for Data Import Applied for the First Time.

The Swiss Federal Statistical Office (BFS) has implemented a new system for the transmission of data from the cantons to the federal government for the first time during the National Council elections on Sunday. However, an error occurred due to insufficient testing of the data. The BFS is striving to standardise the various transmission programmes used by the cantons due to federalism, so that all cantons can use the same system in the future.
