Biel Lakelive Festival with lots of music, sport and culture

The Lakelive Festival begins in Biel on Thursday. The ESC star Nemo will kick things off. The organizers are expecting 85,000 visitors, as they announced on Monday.
The international headliners include Simple Minds, Die Fantastischen Vier, Nas, Ryan Castro, Passenger, Trettmann and Gentleman. From Switzerland, Joya Marleen, Loco Escrito, Troubas Kater and Chlyklass will be performing, among others. A total of 36 concerts will take place on three stages, as the organizers wrote in a press release.
In addition to music, visitors are offered a varied program from the Biel cultural scene, such as poetry slams, dance and a container from the Kunsthaus Biel. On August 31, there will be a drone show over the bay, and on August 1, a traditional brunch is on the program.
The festival also offers the opportunity to take part in various water and summer sports. There are salsa evenings for dance enthusiasts.
Lakelive runs from July 31 to August 10. It takes place on the Expo site between Biel and Nidau on Lake Biel.
