The cantonal road between Zweilütschinen and Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland will reopen on Tuesday evening at 8pm. This was announced by the Canton of Bern.

As the clearing work has not yet been fully completed, only one lane is open for the time being, as the canton wrote in a press release on Tuesday evening. Traffic is being managed alternately and regulated by a traffic light.

The railroad line between Zweilütschinen and Grindelwald is expected to remain closed until Friday, as the Bernese Oberland Railways announced on Tuesday afternoon. Replacement buses will be running from Tuesday evening.

The main road in Därligen from the direction of Interlaken remains closed to general traffic for the time being, according to the Canton of Bern. The route will be open to public transport again from Wednesday.

On Monday evening, a severe storm caused devastation in the Bernese Oberland.
