City of Zurich examines application for the Eurovision Song Contest

Following Nemo's victory at the ESC, the city of Zurich, among others, is examining whether it wants to apply to host the event next year. This possibility is now being carefully clarified, "with high priority and in consultation with SRG".
SRG had already contacted the city of Zurich before Nemo's victory on Saturday to discuss the possible staging of the ESC. These talks are now being intensified. The city of Zurich held a meeting on Monday morning.
The city of Zurich is delighted with the win and congratulates Nemo warmly, the city government announced on request. The SRG, SRF and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) are expected to decide which city will be awarded the contract in September.
