Cyclist dies after collision with electric vehicle in Zermatt VS

A 49-year-old cyclist died in a collision with an electric vehicle in Zermatt VS on Tuesday evening. The e-bike rider fell to the ground as a result of the collision and sustained serious injuries.
Despite the rapid intervention of the emergency services, the Swiss man died at the scene of the accident, the Valais cantonal police announced on Wednesday. The public prosecutor's office has launched an investigation in collaboration with the cantonal police to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
