Minister of Transport Albert Rösti has highlighted the need to spread the risks of the transport system across different carriers in light of current and potential future crises. This was highlighted by the derailment of a goods train in the Gotthard Tunnel almost three weeks ago, which had immense consequences for transit traffic, national supply and tourism. The topic of the national mobility conference in Bern, "How robust and crisis-proof is our transport system?", could not be more relevant. The risks must be distributed in order to ensure the "high efficiency and resilience" of the transport system, especially in the event of a potential energy crisis. The world has become more complex, said Rösti, and crises are more likely to increase than decrease. Technological change and digitalisation must be seen as an opportunity, but there are also risks such as vulnerability to cyberattacks.nnnnnnnnnnnn
