Fatal Accident of a Base Jumper in the Bernese Oberland

On Friday evening, a base jumper tragically died in Stechelberg, Switzerland. Despite a search with a helicopter and drone, the man was not found until Saturday morning, when he was located with the help of a search dog. The man had jumped from the "High Ultimate" launch site, and for unknown reasons had crashed into a rock wall. The police are currently investigating the incident. The Lauterbrunnental region, with the villages of Mürren and Stechelberg, is a popular destination for base jumpers. Unfortunately, there have been several fatal accidents in the area.nnnnnnnn
