Fatal Collision Between Two Motorcyclists in Uri Canton

On Friday evening, a fatal collision occurred in the canton of Uri involving two motorcyclists. Shortly before 7:30 pm, the two motorcyclists collided in a curved and narrow passage between the villages of Schilt and Unter Balm. It is believed that the collision was side-/frontal. Both motorcycles were completely destroyed, and the motorcycle of the deceased caught fire. The road was closed for around six hours in the area of the accident. The deceased motorcyclist was killed, and the other motorcyclist was seriously injured and flown to a hospital.
