A 22-year-old FCZ fan must answer to the Zurich District Court on Wednesday for trespassing: he had entered the interior of Letzigrund Stadium in October 2021 after a derby against GC.

After the final whistle of the football match, riots broke out in the Zurich athletics stadium; several FCZ supporters stormed onto the tartan track and towards the opposing GC sector, with some also firing pyrotechnics.

The 22-year-old was allegedly also in the crowd: According to the indictment, he had pulled the hood of his FCZ jacket over his head and a sewn-in net made his face unrecognizable. Entering the tartan track was prohibited; he deliberately disregarded this ban, according to the indictment.

The responsible public prosecutor - head of the so-called riot group - is demanding that the FCZ supporter be sentenced for trespassing on the tartan track and wearing a net hood and for violating the ban on wearing a mask. He also accuses the 22-year-old of two road traffic offenses - including driving at 85 instead of 50 km/h over the Hardbrücke.

The leader of the riot group asked the court to impose a fine of 150 daily rates of CHF 140 on the young defendant. According to the application, he should have to pay these 21,000 francs - as well as an additional fine of 200 francs. He is also ordered to hand in the seized FCZ jacket for good.

The arguments and motions of the FCZ supporter's defense will become known on Wednesday during the hearing at the District Court of Zurich.
