Federal Council rebuffs canton of Geneva on parental leave

The canton of Geneva cannot introduce 24 weeks of parental leave for the time being. Such a provision in the Geneva cantonal constitution is not compatible with current federal law, the Federal Council wrote on Wednesday. Parliament will make the final decision.
