Five Storm-Injured Patients in Newburg Hospitals

After the devastating storm on Monday, five patients were still in Neuchâtel hospitals on Wednesday. In total, 42 people were injured and treated in hospitals of the Neuchâtel Hospital Network (RHNe). 25 injured were admitted to the emergency department of La Chaux-de-Fonds and 17 to the emergency department of the Pourtalès Hospital in Neuchâtel, as the Neuchâtel Hospital Network (RHNe) announced on Thursday. Thanks to a rapid reorganization in the emergency departments, the hospital network was able to efficiently manage the simultaneous arrival of numerous victims without waiting times. However, the emergency departments of the two acute hospitals were fully utilized. For less acute cases, the hospital network could count on the support of other hospitals.
