Flooding in parts of Ticino

There was some flooding in Ticino on Sunday night. People in Prato-Sornico and the Maggia Valley were called on Alertswiss to evacuate houses near the river and to go to higher ground.
Cellars, underground garages and bodies of water should be avoided in the affected areas, the authorities announced via Alertswiss. Flooded streets should also not be used by car or bicycle.
