General IT problem in the federal administration – reason unclear

IT problems occurred in the Swiss Federal Administration on Thursday. Customs was one of the areas affected, as the Confederation announced. There, customs declarations were switched to an emergency procedure.
The reason for the disruption was not initially known. No information was initially available from the Federal Chancellery or the Federal Office for Cybersecurity at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency.
Switzerland is expecting an increase in cyber attacks in the run-up to the Ukraine peace conference at the weekend. In the second half of the week in particular, the Confederation expected disruptive maneuvers to disrupt the summit.
