Green Party President Lisa Mazzone has expressed her "anger and bitterness" at the Federal Supreme Court's rejection of the appeals against the 2022 AHV vote. An error had been identified, but it had simply been trivialized. The reason for this was that it affected women, complained the complainant and Geneva politician.
"You can't trivialize a mistake that has consequences for thousands of women," said the former member of the National Council and Council of States. Women still receive a third less money in their pensions and are at greater risk of poverty.
"We no longer accept that it's just not that important when it comes to women," Mazzone continued.
The Green Party President also called for compensation for the transitional generation. These are the women who will retire in the next few years and are the first to be affected by the increase in the retirement age. Women should also finally be paid for childcare. Mazzone also called for better representation of women in the judiciary.
